PM Shehbaz inaugurates Saleem Memorial Trust Hospital
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday inaugurated the Saleem Memorial Trust Hospital in Lahore.
During his address at the ceremony, the premier lauded the hospital’s vision of providing affordable healthcare to the aggrieved, stating, “I believe the generous people who have contributed to this hospital have earned their place in this world and in heaven.”
PM Shehbaz added those receiving treatment in the hospital would have access to “world-class” machinery, including equipment for radiology, oncology, treatment for cardiac diseases and all others.
During his address, the prime minister expressed his gratitude towards the “brave” doctors, both international and local, who extend their service to the hospital. He also expressed confidence in the administration of the hospital, stating they will “serve suffering humanity.”

The prime minister also thanked philanthropist Shahzad Saleem, stating that his efforts would be appreciated by future generations.
“Those who can afford the treatment will pay their expenses but people in need will be provided with free or partially free of cost treatments, through subsidization and donation funds,” the premier added.
Shehbaz said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) shared a similar vision when the party established Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute with an investment of billions of rupees.
