PPP to hold public gathering in Karachi on 15th: Ghani
The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will organise a public gathering in Karachi on May 15. The gathering will be addressed by the PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
This was announced by Sindh Minister for Labour and Human Resource, Saeed Ghani, who is also PPP Karachi President while addressing a press conference at the Sindh Assembly building on Saturday.
Ghani said that the party had planned to give a warm reception for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on his arrival for the first time in Karachi last month but the plan was dropped due to unavoidable circumstances.
Ghani demanded exemplary action under the Article-6 of the Constitution against the incumbent president, Punjab governor, former speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly, and others for violating the Constitution.
He mentioned that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during his long march from Karachi to Islamabad in February had asked Imran Khan to step down and hold general election.
At that time Imran Khan and his cabinet had been constantly claiming that they would not just complete their present five-year term but would rule in the country for another five years.
To a question, the provincial minister said that the Constitution had been fully followed while making the efforts to oust Imran Khan.
At the same time the establishment for the first time had remained neutral while the judiciary and the parliament also fulfilled all the constitutional requirements in this regard, he said.
