Saad wants Faisalabad-Madina air link

Aviation minister asked PIA, civil aviation to work together to run flights between Faisalabad and Karachi

Aviation Minister Saad Rafique has said that he has directed PIA and the civil aviation to work together to operate direct flights from Faisalabad to Madina and Jeddah in an effort to facilitate people perform Umrah.

He also asked the authorities concerned to run flights between Faisalabad and Karachi on a daily basis. The minister made the remarks during this visit to Faisalabad International Airport.

The civil aviation, PIA and ASF briefed Rafique on the occasion. During his visit, the aviation minister reviewed the facilities available for the passengers at the airport and called for improving them.

He sought an improvement in the cargo delivery system for the business community and directed the PIA to start direct flights to Madina and Jeddah for the Umrah pilgrims.

He also asked the national flag carrier and the civil aviation to work together to run flights between Faisalabad and Karachi for the business community and common people.

Faisalabad airport was rebuilt during the last tenure of the PML-N.
