HYDRABAD:

A teenager shot himself dead while recording a video in his bedroom at his home in the Bhitshah town of the Matiari district on Friday, police said quoting the deceased's family.

The Bhitshah police station SHO Karam Ali Umrani said that Taha Rajpoot, 14, was alone in the room when the incident happened. Umrani, said as per the household members, they rushed to the room after hearing the gunshot but they found it locked from inside.

When they broke open the door, they found Taha dead. It seems that he was recording a video for TikTok site when he either on purpose or accidentally shot himself, SHO Umrani said after observing the crime scene. As per SHO they are investigating if it was an accident or suicide.

Meanwhile, in a clash between a vendor selling pakoras and the buyers, two passerby children sustained gunshot wounds and one of them succumbed to the wounds near Nishat Colony in the limits of Phuleli police station on Friday in Hyderabad.

Phuleli police station SHO Nisar Shah said that according to eyewitnesses the vendor Faisal Yousufzai fired the gunshots at the buyers belonging to the Makrani community residing in Makrani mohalla. However, the bullets hit two children killing eight-year-old Mueed Muhammad Ali Yousufzai and injuring Aliyan Tariq.

Faisal was arrested but the FIR has not been lodged so far. Father of the slain child is said to be one of the eyewitnesses.
