Six persons killed in different incidents

Rawalpindi police register cases and start investigations

RAWALPINDI:

At least six persons were killed in different areas of Rawalpindi during the last 24 hours.

According to the police, Akhlaq Ahmed told Saddar Bairuni police that when his nephew Yawar did not reach home, he contacted him on his number and his friend's number but got no response. After which he along with Akhlaq and Adnan went to the Ittefaq check post in Ranial. The check post police official told the complaint that an unidentified body has been found.

He told the police that later the body was identified as Yawar, who had been shot dead by unidentified persons.

In a second case, Ashraf lodged a complaint with Chauntra police that his son Muhammad Bilal along with his wife Anza went to her sister Anila's house in Chach Rawan. He said that on the way back from Chach Rawan, Muhammad Bilal was returning on a motorcycle with his wife, when reached Mouza Rajar, two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle showed up and opened fire, killing his son Muhammad Bilal on the spot.

The complainant suspected that his son had been murdered by his wife Anza with the help of the attackers.

Owais Ahmed told Saddar Wah Cantonment police that he was returning home from Rawalpindi with his family when a speeding unidentified motorcyclist hit his father Raees Ahmed while crossing the road at Chiraghia Town, injuring him severely. He succumbed to his injuries later.

Irshad told Rawat police that his uncles Akash Bostan and Jawad Ahmed were going to Rawat on a motorcycle when a vehicle driven recklessly by an unidentified driver collided with their motorcycle near the Baga Sheikhan stop. He said that his uncles were seriously injured. Later, his uncle Akash succumbed to his injuries.

ASI Sajjad told Kallar Syedan police that an unknown vehicle hit a man and fled. He said that later, the man succumbed to his injuries.

Azeem told Gujjar Khan police that Basharat Ali, Mohammad Gulzar, Hashir Gulzar, Harnain Nisa and Farooq Shah boarded a passenger van at the Sarai-e-Alamgir stop. The van driven by an unknown driver collided with the sidewalks near Masa Kaswal due to speeding. As a result of the collision, all passengers were injured. Later, Basit and his unidentified brother succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered cases and started investigations.
