Four children, mother killed in Quetta’s Kuchlak area

In a successful raid on Monday, Levies forces arrested the accused person involved in the brutal murder of a mother and her four children in Quetta's Kuchlak area on Sunday morning.

The brutal murderer has been arrested from Killi Poti Nasara area of Kuchlak, the Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Zafar Ali Muhammad Shahi told a news conference at Kuchlak police station.

Levies had found the bodies of a mother and her four children in the Killi Poti Nasaran area of Kuchlak. "The accused Mehmoodullah, an Afghan national was trying to flee to Afghanistan when he was apprehended by levies", the DC informed reporters.

He added that the stepmother of the children was also involved in the cold-blooded murder of the mother and her four children. Levies have also arrested the stepmother of the children and she is under interrogation.

"The boy Mehmoodullah and the accused lady had illicit relations", Shahi said. Assistant Commissioner Karezat, Muhammad Ali Durrani and Tehsildar Junaid Barozai were also present on the occasion.

An investigation team comprising senior levies officers was formed to interrogate the accused boy and lady in connection with the murder case.

The tragic incident happened in the Killi Poti Nasaran area of Kuchlak, Abdul Haq Umrani, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) had confirmed.

The bodies were shifted to civil hospital Quetta. Junaid Khan Barozai, the Tehsildar and senior levies officials told The Express Tribune that the mother and four children were brutally murdered inside their house in Kuchlak, located some 25kms north of Quetta.

"When I reached home in the morning, my wife and children were murdered", Muhammad Khan, the father of the children stated. Levies and police have also taken the father into custody for interrogation.

A large number of the people of the area had reached the house where the incident had taken a place. "We have collected evidence from the house", Barozai said.

The ages of the children were from 7 to 13 years. The funeral prayer of the victims was offered in the Killi Poti Nasara area of Kuchlak. A large number of the people attended it.

Heartbreaking scenes were witnessed during the funeral prayer of the victims.
