Rangers pays tribute to welfare organisations
Pakistan Rangers Sindh organised a grand ceremony at Malir Halt in which philanthropists, various institutions, needy and deserving people were invited.
DG Rangers Sindh, Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry attended the function as the chief guest.
According to a statement issued by Rangers, the main purpose of the event was to pay tribute to the philanthropists and welfare organisations who extended thir support to the Rangers in their efforts to discharge financial and welfare services to the poor and deserving people before and during Ramazan and arranging Sehri and Iftar besides distributing items for daily use among people.
Philanthropists and welfare organisations include Shahid Afridi Foundation, Sailani Welfare Trust, organisations representing various industrial areas, builders, industrialists, Jamia Noor-ul-Quran and other civil and social organisations.
The goods distributed among the needy and deserving included ration bags, clothes, rickshaws, wheelchairs, motorcycles, stalls, sewing machines, dowry for girls, ambulance, medicines, tents besides Rs24 million of financial aid.
DG Rangers Sindh in his address said that the process of love for human beings and helping the needy people is viewed with admiration in every religion but the religion of Islam has also declared the service to humanity as the best morality and great worship. Let us double the joys of Eid by including the needy and deserving people in the festival.
