Suspected shoplifter women caught on CCTV camera
Several theft cases come into the light during the last days of Ramazan when shopping enthusiasm is at its peak, which causes a rush at the markets. Three women were caught on camera stealing expensive dresses from a clothing shop.
Reportedly, Mubina Town Police arrested three women for stealing clothes. The women were arrested with the help of CCTV footage. According to police, the arrested women used to steal clothes from various shopping malls and shops in the city. Branded stolen dresses were recovered from the suspects and a case has been registered against them. The police were investigating the matter further.
Meanwhile, in another operation, an alleged suspect, identified as Imran, was arrested. The police said he was allegedly involved in dozens of street crimes. Weapons and a stolen motorcycle were reportedly recovered by the police from the suspect.
The Artillery Maidan Police arrested a suspect for stealing a motorcycle from the parking lot of Zainab Market. According to a spokesperson for SSP South, a motorcycle of a citizen was stolen from the parking lot of Zainab Market on April 28. The had citizen lodged a complaint about the incident to the Artillery Maidan police.
The police identified the suspect from the CCTV footage of stealing the motorcycle. The motorcycle of the citizen was also recovered. The arrested suspect also confessed his involvement in other crimes. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Gulistan-e-Jauhar police arrested an accused involved in drug trafficking. Reportedly, 200 grams of hashish were recovered from Juma Khan. Similarly, Tipu Sultan Police arrested an alleged suspect Muhammad Sajid who was allegedly involved in street crimes.
