Two teenage boys drowned in the Soan Nullah near Chowk Mochi in the outskirts of Koral on Thursday, police sources said.
The deceased, Naqash Ahmed, 18, and Muhammad Ali, 17, had gone swimming in the river near their village an hour before Iftari.
They accidentally went into deep water and could not swim back.
Their bodies were fished out by other people who had tried to rescue them. The boys were close friends and were Matric students. The bodies of the boys were handed over to their respective families.
No case was registered as the families accepted that the deaths were accidental.
