SHC rejects appeals of murder convicts

Rules that the accused committed a crime and was not entitled to clemency

KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has rejected the appeal of an accused in the case of murder of two persons for resisting robbery and upheld the trial court’s order, awarding the death sentence on two counts.

In its ruling, a two-member bench headed by Justice KK Agha rejected the accused’s appeal for murdering two persons for resisting a robbery.

The court upheld the death sentence of accused Abdullah and ruled that the accused had committed a crime and was not entitled to clemency.

According to police, accused Abdullah had killed two people for resisting a robbery in a posh area of the city. Based on the evidence, the accused has been found involved in the murder of two youths. The trial court had convicted the accused.
