Man shot dead in Rawalpindi

Police said that the shooting took place when the victim had left home for his jaggery business

RAWALPINDI:

Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a 45-year-old man in Hazara Colony within the limits of Rata Amral Police Station on Tuesday.

Police said that the shooting took place when the victim had left home for his jaggery business. He suffered several gunshots and later died.

Rata Amral SHO Zohaib Shah said that a case has been registered against the unidentified accused on the complaint of the victim's brother. He added that the motive behind the killing has yet to be ascertained.

on the same day, a 17-year-old boy died while two others were injured when a vehicle rammed into a motorcycle at a private housing society in the jurisdiction of Rawat police station.

Police said that the accident occurred due to speeding. According to Rescue 1122 and police, a speeding vehicle collided with a motorcycle, killing Jibran, 17 while his friends 20-year-old Basit and 15-year-old Asad suffered serious injuries.

After receiving information about the accident, Rescue 1122 workers reached the spot and shifted the body and the injured to a nearby hospital.

A case has been registered and police are looking into the case.
