Terror Threat: Intelligence indicates LHC a target

A call was made to the police from a mobile phone; Security arrangements have been enhanced at the LHC.

LAHORE:

A report was forwarded to the police and other law enforcing agencies by the intelligence agencies that alleged terrorists have threatened that they have entered Lahore with an explosive laden vehicle with which they plan to attack the Lahore High Court (LHC).

A call was made to the police from a mobile phone. The caller, who identified himself as Usman informed police about his intentions.  The police and other LEAs have been advised to ensure strict vigilance and heightened security. The Home Department has asked the Inspector General of Punjab Police, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) and others concerned to take the necessary protective and preventive measures. Security arrangements have been enhanced at the LHC.
