RAWALPINDI:

Unidentified men shot and killed an elderly man within the limits of Taxila police station on Sunday.

Suleiman informed the police that his father Masood Khan called and told him that he was going to work, after which he could not contact him. “It was later reported that my father had been shot dead by someone in the area of ​​Pind Gondal, Taxila,” he said. He could not say for sure who murdered his father, he added.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

In a separate incident, a young man died in a road accident in the jurisdiction of ​​Civil Line police station.

According to police, Latif said that he was approaching Kachehri Chowk when he saw a young boy, who was hit by a car in front of a petrol pump, was lying unconscious. “We were shifting him to the hospital by our car but he succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital,” he said.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police arrested 37 professional beggars on Sunday. On the directives of the in-charge Beggars Squad, along with their respective teams, took action against the professional beggars, and detained them in different police stations of Rawalpindi city, said police.
