Four held in quadruple murders case
Police handed over the bodies of four men shot dead by their opponents to their families and arrested several of the suspects nominated in the case.
The victims were shot dead over enmity in Khurrianwala.
The case has been registered against 14 suspects, including Punjab Bar Council member Imtiaz Ahmed Luna.
Police have taken into custody four of the suspects nominated in the complaint and are interrogating them.
The complainant, Rana Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Sadhuana, stated that his son Rana Shakeel Ahmed, Khalid Saeed, Rana Kashif and Rana Qamar were sitting in an estate agency for some work when they were taken hostage.
He said Waqas and Bilal, dressed in police uniform, came on a motorcycle and took the four people hostage.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz Luna, Sadaf Shahbaz, Shehzad Ahmed, Waqas Ahmed, Ali Maqsood, Tariq alias Taree, Rafiq, Ahmed Sarwar, Badar Shah and Bilal also arrived at the spot. They shot and injured Shakeel, Dildar, Ghulam Hussain and Khalid allegedly at the behest of Luna, the complaint claimed.
Shakeel and Ghulam Hussain died on the spot, while Khalid and Dildar succumbed to injuries in hospital.
The firing spread fear and panic in the area.
The complainant said his son Shakeel had enmity with Shahbaz and others due to which they had shot dead the four people.
