CM welcomes announcement to develop Balochistan

Demands more uplift projects in province

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has demanded more development projects and welcomed the announcements made by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to bring the province at par with other developed parts of the country.

“Completion of projects announced and inaugurated by the Premier would open new vistas of development and prosperity in Balochistan, Bizenjo said in a statement issued to the press on Saturday evening.

He maintained that the dualization of the Quetta-Karachi Highway, launching a metro bus scheme for Quetta city, and supporting deserving students of Balochistan would bring an economic revolution to the province.

Bizenjo said that Quetta-Karachi Highway would be completed within 1.5 years, which would end the problems of the general public as road accidents on the highway have claimed thousands of precious human lives during the last few years.

He however demanded of the prime minister to upgrade the Karachi-Chaman Highway to six-lane instead of four to make traveling safe.

The CM briefed the Premier about important law and order situation and development projects underway in the province. He demanded of the Prime Minister to give special focus to Balochistan and remove the sense of deprivation among the masses.

On Saturday, Bizenjo called on prime minister and discussed development projects and law and order situation in the province.

The CM briefed the prime minister and said that provincial cabinet had held five meetings within the last six months. He mentioned that the cabinet made decisions about 200 important issues. Apart from this, the Balochistan Assembly has adopted 18 bills to improve governance in the province.

Bizenjo however asked the Prime Minister to announce a special package for the people of bordering areas. He said repeated closure of borders has caused issues for the people and they are facing serious financial issues.
