PIA installs Airbus 320 simulator

Pilots will now be imparted latest training with the help of the simulator inside country

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) inaugurated the latest Airbus 320 simulator at its training centre, the first of its kind not only in Pakistan but also in the region.

Simulator installation was inaugurated by PIA Chief Executive Officer Arshad Malik. From now on, he said that Pakistani pilots would be imparted the latest training with the help of the simulator inside the country.

A large number of pilots in the country operate the Airbus 320. Besides three out of the four airlines in Pakistan use this aircraft. Prior to the simulator installation, all pilots had to go abroad for basic and refresher training.

“The PIA training centre has the Airbus 320 as well as Boeing 777 and Jumbo jet simulators under one roof,” Malik said. “Besides the Pakistani pilots, other airlines in the region are approaching us for this pilot training,” he added. he praised the PIA team for completing the installation within five months.
