4 more members to be inducted into cabinet today
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to induct three more federal ministers and a state minister into the cabinet, taking the total number of members in it to 41.
Under the newly formed coalition government, earlier 37 politicians had been administered oath by Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani in the absence of President Arif Alvi, who went on a sick leave on April 11. On that day, Sanjrani had sworn in PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif as the 23rd prime minister of Pakistan.
Three federal ministers and one minister of state will be sworn in on Friday (today).
PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain's son Chaudhry Salik Hussain, PML-N’s Mian Javed Latif and Balochistan National Party-Mengal’s Agha Hassan Baloch will take oath.
Baloch will take over as the federal minister for science and technology.
BNP-M’s Muhammad Hashim Notezai will be sworn in as the state minister.
The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Presidency at 11am.
