PESHAWAR:

Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheerul Islam Shah, while insisting on TMAs to ensure supply of clean and quality meat to the people, sought a report on the condition of slaughterhouses on Wednesday.

He said no negligence would be tolerated in this regard and steps would be taken to establish writ of the government.

The newly appointed LG secretary was getting a detailed briefing on various issues and schemes here at his office.

During the meeting, the secretary said the department is providing various services to the people including sanitation, clean drinking water and recreational services at parks, adding that every effort will be made to improve these facilities and incentives.

If the condition of the slaughterhouses is not good then the supply of clean and quality meat is not possible as per the principles of hygiene.
