Merit for Mining: Poland awards petroleum minister
The distinction was given in recognition for strengthening Pakistan-Poland bilateral cooperation in the mining field.
WARSAW:
Polish Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak awarded the title Person of Merit for Mining in the Republic of Poland on Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Asim Hussain on Friday, according to a statement released by the ministry. The distinction was given in recognition of services rendered for the development of the mining industry and for strengthening Pakistan-Poland bilateral cooperation in the field. The ceremony was preceded by his meeting with the Polish Deputy Prime Minister which focused on signing an agreement on ways and means of further enhancing bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector and auto sector of the two countries. Hussain is on a two-day visit to Warsaw.
