Aim: Minerals target set at Rs2 billion
The minister said that the Punjab Mines and Mineral Department had earned Rs1.61 billion last year despite the floods

Punjab Minister for Food and Minerals Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that the provincial government has set a target of Rs2 billion from minerals in the current fiscal year, in a press statement issued on Friday. The minister said that the Punjab Mines and Mineral Department had earned Rs1.61 billion last year despite the floods, rains and financial crises in the country. He said the Punjab Chief Minister had formed a committee for improving the auction of the department. “The committee includes Senior Adviser to Chief Minister, Sardar Zulifiqar Khosa, MPAs Tanveer Aslam Malik, Sher Ali Khan, chief secretary Punjab,secretary minerals and other officials of the department,” he added.
