PML-N holds protests outside residence of Jemima's 88-year-old mother

Protestor threatens breaking into bedrooms of Imran Khan's family if protests don't stop outside Nawaz family's homes

LONDON:

A crowd of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's supporters held a protest outside the residence of former prime minister Imran Khan's ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith's 88-year-old mother in Surrey.

A video shared by Jemima on Twitter showed a man threatening to break into the bedrooms of former prime minister's family members if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s supporters did not stop holding protests outside the homes of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo and his children.

The screenwriter further asked the British police if such threats were legal.

Last week, Jemima stated that there were protests outside her house, that her children were being targeted and that she was facing antisemitic abuse on social media.

“Its almost like I’m back in 90’s Lahore,” she wrote, tagging the tweet with the hashtag purana Pakistan (old Pakistan), which was the opposition’s slogan in contrast to Imran’s promise of building a Naya Pakistan (new Pakistan).

Jemima further maintained that it was “surely not legal” that her home address was shared on social media, especially as she was currently dealing with “stalkers”.

Imran was married to Jemima from 1995 to 2004 and together they have two children, Kasim and Sulaiman. Jemima moved to London after her divorce from the ex-premier where she has been living with her sons ever since.

Jemima, daughter of billionaire James Goldsmith, converted to Islam for her marriage to Imran Khan but “was constantly attacked as an insincere Muslim, part because of her Jewish grandfather,” according to a 2004 account in The Guardian.

Oh wait they distributed Benazir s private photos from a helicopter once and went to courts with sticks in their hands. Welcome back to purana Pakistan. Enjoy it.
