Minister takes notice of temple theft case
Sindh Minister for Minority Affairs Gianchad Esrani while taking notice of the theft an idol from a temple in the Sakrand district has directed the Shaheed Benazirabad SSP to take strict action against the suspects involved in the incident.
Esrani said that the place of worship of Hindu community had been disrespected. While informing the Minister, SSP said that an FIR of the incident had been registered and three suspects were arrested. It is pertinent to mention that a sculpture of a diety was stolen from a temple near Sakrand Railway Station and the Hindu community was protesting against it.
In another attack against the minority Hindus in Pakistan, a Hindu temple in Rohri, Sindh Province was looted and vandalized by religious extremists earlier this month. They also looted the cash and gold at the Shiran Wali Mata Hindu temple and destroyed 5 idols of Hindu deities

Earlier in December 2021, police arrested a man for allegedly damaging statues at a Hindu temple in the Narainpura area of Karachi.
The FIR of the incident said that a man identified as Waleed Muhammad Shabeer attacked the statues.
