People robbed at DHA café

At least six armed robbers looted people present at a popular tea shop - Tea Spot in the Nishat Commercial Area of Defence Housing Authority within the limits of Darakhshan Police Station.

A youth identified as Asad Mehdi ran after the suspects as they were escaping however, one of the suspects shot Mehdi in the leg.

As per area residents the Tea Spot owner also chased the suspects, but they got away. Locals said no police mobile squad or picket intercepted the marauders, despite repeated calls on police helpline 15.

South DIG Sharjeel rushed to the spot upon report and inspected the scene while also taking details of the incident from the citizens and the hotel owner.
