16 years on, Nishtar Park blast perpetrators yet to be arrested: Qadri
Head of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Muhammad Sarwat Ejaz Qadri has said that 16 years have passed, but the perpetrators of the Nishtar Park blast have yet to be arrested.
On April 11, 2006, a bombing in a Milad gathering at Nishtar Park resulted in the deaths of at least 49 people and injured around a hundred others.
Qadri said that sacrifices of the martyrs of Eid Milad-u-Nabi would not be allowed to go in vain.
He went on to say that "It has been 16 years since the Nishtar Park tragedy but the real characters have not been arrested yet".
