Buzdar says the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card has been provided to every family in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card has been provided to every family in Punjab.

He said in a statement on Sunday that the Universal Health Insurance Programme was unmatched in the developing countries, adding that the free treatment facility was not a favour to anyone, rather a right of the people.

Every family has been provided Rs1 million worth of annual health treatment facility through the card.

The chief minister said the PTI government had allocated Rs400 billion for the Universal Health Insurance Programme and fulfilled its promise to provide free treatment facility to every citizen of Punjab.

He emphasised that the government had focused on improving health facilities across Punjab. He said patients of diseases including cancer could avail treatment through the Sehat Card.

Cardiac diseases, hepatitis, liver diseases, TB, AIDS and fracture can be treated free of cost from private hospitals across the province.
