Politicians and public relations

This is with reference to Wajahat Khan’s piece “The PPP & PML-N’s top 10 PR ailments” (June 24)
This is a really interesting take on politics in Pakistan. We forget that politics relies heavily on PR, image is everything and great men have lost and won elections because of it. Maybe it isn’t such a bad idea to give our politicians tips on good PR, they might even begin to understand that in order to strengthen themselves as political magnates it is imperative to keep your constituents happy so they back you up whenever you need them. People are power and the sooner our politicians realise that giving them what they want and cleaning up their image will only benefit their own political motivations the better off we will all be.
