In today’s news of unexpected but delightful cross-cultural collaborations, Bollywood’s bigwigs casually hung out with the Prince of Saudi Arabia reportedly at Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai residence, Mannat. Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan were all spotted spending time with the Saudi Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Alsaud, Saudi Arabia’s minister of culture, and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, along with Mohammed Al Turki, Chairman of the Kingdom’s Red Sea International Film Festival.

Alsaud took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures from his meeting with the stars of the Indian cinema. “Delighted to have engaged in insightful conversations on the beautiful world of films, exploring cross-cultural collaborations with Bollywood superstars, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar,” read his caption.

While those pictures showed a home setting, Al Turki confirmed the location when he posted a selfie posing alongside King Khan on the media-sharing app. The location tag for the picture was placed at the Raees actor’s seaside Mumbai home, Mannat.

While the details of the meeting are kept under wraps, one can only assume it’s related to the flourishing of the entertainment industry. Lately, Saudi Arabia has been keen on featuring Bollywood in the country. With Salman having performed in the country last year as part of the Riyadh Season during their Da-Bangg tour alongside Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Aayush Sharma, and Saiee Manjrekar, and the current meeting, it seems like the doors have opened and there’s room for potential collaborations.

In January 2022, the Joy Awards in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia also awarded Salman as the Personality Of The Year. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan hero shared his achievement on Instagram with his fans. He was awarded by the Saudi Royal Court Advisor and Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alal Shikh in the ceremony.
