‘No threat’ to BAP govt in Balochistan
Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial Communications and Works Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran quashed circulating rumours, saying that “there was no threat” to the BAP-led government of Bizenjo. Speaking to the media on Friday, Khetran maintained that former chief minister Jam Kamal has no authority to issue a show cause notice to CM Bizenjo, adding, the Constitution has given authority to the chief minister to change his cabinet members.
“The Balochistan chief executive has the full support of BAP and other coalition parties,” he said. “The provincial government was strong and there was no threat to it.” The minister informed reporters that BAP intra-party elections would be held after Ramazan and whoever has the majority would be the president of BAP. Khetran went on to say that the Balochistan government under the leadership of CM Bizenjo was using all available resources to solve the problems of the people at their doorsteps.
"New avenues will open up and new employment opportunities will be created under the Reko Diq agreement", he said. Commenting on intra party matters, the communications and work minister relayed that when a noconfidence motion was being filed against Jam Kamal, Mir Zahoor Buledi was nominated as the acting president of BAP.
Replying to a question on a lighter note, Khetran, said some people see the chief minister in their dreams and no one could be banned from dreaming. He reaffirmed the government’s seriousness in solving the problems of government employees, saying that they should also perform their duties properly and play their role in solving the problems of the people
