TEVTA holds jobs fair

Over 100 graduates get offers from prospective employers

FAISALABAD:

More than 100 Technical Educational Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) graduates were offered employment during a job festival, organised at the Government College of Technology Samanabad on Saturday.

Inaugurating the job fair, Director General Placement TEVTA Punjab, Amir Aziz, said that TEVTA has expedited its efforts to educate students, in addition to ensuring the rapid placement of graduates in their relevant fields. Around 26 different companies established stalls at the fair to offer jobs to the students. President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), Atif Munir Sheikh, District President BOD of TEVTA Faisalabad and Chiniot and Principal of the College, Engineer Asim Munir and District Placement Officer TEVTA, Asghar Chaudhary were also present.

Aziz said that steps were taken to provide skilled manpower to existing and hi-tech industries in Faisalabad. "It would not only provide jobs to students, but also expedite industrial development in the country," he said, adding that close cooperation with the private sector is imperative to achieve the goal of taking Pakistan into the fifth industrial revolution.
