‘No one will come to rescue Imran Khan’
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz has said Prime Minister Imran Khan was not buying time to seek support of the masses instead he was calling out to someone else, imploring them to save him.
These remarks were made by the PML-N leader during her address to workers at the party central secretariat, ahead of her party’s so-called march against inflation. The march is scheduled to leave for Islamabad on Saturday (today). The event, addressed by both Maryam and Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, was aimed at charging up the political atmosphere in the city.
Maryam took the opportunity to make remarks alleging abject failure in Imran Khan’s government. These allegations ranged from highlighting party defections, to hypocrisy on issues like accepting the NRO and the corruption, ineptitude and vindictiveness that exists within the incumbent PTI government.

She added that “putting on the hide of a jackal will not make Imran Khan Nawaz Sharif”. After having addressed the alleged failure of the Prime Minister, Maryam began extolling the virtues of the PMLN and her father, former PM Nawaz Sharif, making promises of alleviating inflation and high prices while placing their focus on the common man’s needs.
This speech is the latest from the opposition, aiming to capitalise on a potential vote of no-confidence in Parliament.
