The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers who protested against the ‘dissident’ party MNAs and stormed the Sindh House in Islamabad, have now been released on personal assurance.

The Islamabad Capital Territory Police had registered an FIR against PTI workers for violating Section 144 imposed in the capital and also included sections for vandalizing the government property.

The workers were produced before the area magistrate, who granted them bail on the personal assurance.

After protesting at the main gate, the PTI workers knocked down the side gate and stormed into the building raising slogans against the opposition and turncoats.

Islamabad police arrested the PTI workers. Two MNAs who came with the PTI protesters had been arrested by the police. They were released later on assurance of PM’s aide Shahbaz Gill.

In a statement, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that the attack on Sindh House by the PTI workers is condemnable and he has ordered the Islamabad police to immediately arrest the protesters and MNAs.
