GUJRAT:

A man was beaten to death by his neighbours after an altercation in the street. According to the details, Muhammad Afzal, a resident of Allah Hu Col ony, was beaten to death with sticks at the doorstep of his house over a minor altercation.

He was shifted to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

Civil Line Police Station has registered FIR 207/22 against the five neighbours, Anwar Ali and his sons, Babar, Shahzeb, Shehryar and Haider on the report of Rafaqat Ali, the late Muhammad Afzal’s brother.

According to SHO Civil Lines, Amir Abbas Chadhtar, the accused Anwar Ali was making a water bore in the street. The victim, Mohammad Afzal, forbade him from throwing dirty water in front of the house, after which a bitter argument took place between Anwar Ali and the victim.

People in the neighbourhood defused the argument between the two and settled the matter amicably but a few moments later, the accused Anwar Ali along with his four sons called him out of the house and beat him severely with sticks.

Muhammad Afzal was the uncle of Yasir Waria, a computer operator in the Social Welfare Department.
