Railways to run special trains

Three special Sehwan trains will run on the occasion of sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Urs from March 19

Pakistan Railways has decided to run three special Sehwan trains on the occasion of sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s Urs from March 19.

The railways authorities will also run two special trains for Sikh yatrees coming from India and world over to celebrate Baisakhi mela from April 12.

First special Sehwan train will run from Faisalabad at 5pm on March 19 while the second will leave Lahore at 10pm the same day. The third train will depart from Lahore for Sahiwal section on March 20.

All the three trains will start leaving for Lahore and Faisalabad early morning on March 25 in different phases.

On the other hand, the railways police have taken necessary measures to ensure security for Sikh yatrees who would be coming to Pakistan for Baisakhi mela.

The two special trains for yatrees will depart from Lahore to Hasan Abdal on April 12. After performing religious rituals, the yatrees will leave for Nankana Sahib on these trains.

They will return to Lahore on April 21.
