Mishap: 260 road accidents reported in 2 weeks

260 accidents have been reported in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the first fortnight of Ramazan.

ISLAMABAD:
As many as 260 accidents have been reported in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad during the first fortnight of Ramazan.  An official of Rescue 1122 said on Thursday that the control room had registered 260 accidents during the first 15 days of Ramazan. The number of accidents was high as compared to the same period of last month, he said.  The data revealed that most of the road accidents occurred at the time of Iftar due to speeding and violation of traffic rules, especially jumping to the signal. The District Emergency Official has asked citizens to show patience during the holy month.
