A new case of dengue fever was reported in Punjab on Sunday. However, the overall situation of dengue remains under control, the government claimed, citing its comprehensive strategy to curb the disease.

According to the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (P&SHD), a total of 30 cases of dengue have been reported this year and three patients are undergoing treatment.

All suspected cases of dengue were kept under surveillance, while tests were being conducted. During the last 24 hours, the anti-dengue squads conducted surveillance at 387,783 indoor and 89,014 outdoor places across the province and destroyed dengue mosquito larvae at 143 spots.

The P&SHD urged the people to keep their environment clean and dry.
