SIALKOT:
A proclaimed offender was killed in Kotli Behram area on Thursday in what police said was a gun battle between two rival groups. The man, Muhammad Ali alias Noman Bachhi, was wanted by the police in several murder cases. Police said Bachhi had fled to Saudi Arabia a week ago after killing three people in Sialkot. They said he however returned to Pakistan a few days ago and had been threatening complainants in murder cases against him with dire consequences. They feared further clashes in case Bachhi’s supporters would seek revenge.
