CM predicts opposition’s defeat

Accuses no-trust move initiators of trying to impede progress

LAHORE:

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Sunday that the opposition should prepare to taste another defeat in its no-confidence motion against the government.

The chief minister asserted in a statement that the opposition neither had any strategy nor agenda.

He alleged that the elements touting a no-trust move were trying to impede progress in the country. He maintained that failure of the opposition in its plans for resignations and long march were not surprising.

The chief minister stressed that the opposition should be prepared to taste another defeat in the no-confidence motion.

He highlighted that the ruling PTI.and its allies are on the same page. He underscored that the opposition had tried to the hilt but could not create a wedge in the ruling coalition.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said the politics of horse trading would no more come into play in Pakistan. Only politics of progress and prosperity of the people would be done, he maintained.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Buzdar, in his message on Saraiki Culture Day, said the occasion was being celebrated across Punjab with zeal and fervour. He stated that Saraiki Ajrak is an ancient symbol of the region. He maintained that Saraiki civilisation was based on love, affection, unanimity and courtesy.

He remarked that Saraiki songs and literature were popular across the globe.

He highlighted that the language was filled with politeness and sweetness.
