Man shot dead while resisting robbery

QUETTA:

Unidentified bandits shot dead a man and injured another when they resisted a robbery attempt on Mastung Road Quetta Sunday.

Police said that the victims were on their way home when armed robbers intercepted them and opened fire at them as they put up resistance. As a result, one of them, identified as Inamullah, 20, died on the spot while Asmatullah suffered serious wounds.

The injured were rushed to civil hospital for treatment.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the family after completion of medico legal formalities.

Police registered a case and started investigation.

In a separate incident, two people died and two others sustained injuries when their car overturned on National Highway near Badrank area of Mastung district on Sunday.

According to Levies officials, a Khuzdar-bound car carrying passengers from Quetta turned turtle due to speeding. As a result, two people died on the spot while two others were critically injured.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to nearby hospital where the injured victims were referred to Quetta civil hospital.

The dead have been identified as Rehim Bakhsh and Muhammad Sadiq. The bodies were handed over to the families after the completion of medico-legal formalities. An FIR has been registered in the case.
