Two men killed in truck-motorcycle collision

Separately, police arrest an alleged robber and recover stolen goods

Two men died while one suffered serious injuries when a truck and a motorcycle collided near Khanpur.

After receiving information about the accident, Rescue 1122 workers reached the site and shifted the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital.

The injured was identified as 24-year-old Mohsin, a student of a private university in Taxila while the identity of the deceased men has yet to be ascertained. Police said that the injured student was on a visit to Khanpur with friends and met the accident on the way back.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to Khanpur Hospital. A case has been registered.

Meanwhile, Ghazi police arrested a man for his alleged involvement in robbery cases.

Police said that a house robbery took place a few days ago in Dera Bethak near Issa Cemetery within the limits of Ghazi Police Station. The suspect got away with LED, LED receiver, CPU computer, one blanket and other valuables.

The case was registered on the complaint of the owner of the house.

Ghazi SHO Imtiaz Khan, along with other policemen, under the supervision of ASP Ghazi Dr Khadija Omar conducted a raid and arrested the suspect named Sher Ali Shah. They also recovered stolen goods from his possession. Police are looking into the case.
