Man killed, son injured in family feud
A man died while his son suffered injuries when they were attacked with scissors by their relatives during a family feud in the limits of New Town police station on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Ghazanfar while his son Abdullah was injured after a scissors hit his head. The body and the injured were taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
According to the preliminary investigation, the accused Nafees and Shaukat were involved in the scissors attack, said the police, adding that the murder case will be registered after receiving the postmortem report.
The second incident took place on the Peshawar Road area of Cantonment police station, where the participants of a wedding ceremony got into a fight with each other when their cars collided.
During the altercation, a man opened fire and injured two people. Police said that the two cars of Barat had collided with each other. Two men named Khalik and Attaullah were injured. They were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.

Police said a case would be registered against the suspects.
In another incident, a 25-year-old man was critically injured when a kite string slit his throat in the limits of Waris Khan police station on Friday. Police said that the man identified as Adeel Haider suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
On Thursday, unidentified men shot and killed a man named Muhammad Omar in Muslim Town in the limits of Sadiqabad police station on Thursday.
According to the police, the killing took place when Omar was on his way home. The culprits fled the scene after committing the crime. Police reached the spot and collected evidence.
Police said that the body of slain Muhammad Omar has been handed over to his heirs after completing legal formalities.
