In separate incident, man hangs his mentally ill wife to death in Pindi

GUJAR KHAN:

The bodies of two men were found from a house in Gujar Khan in the limits of Rawalpindi police station.

According to the police, the bodies were found in a locked room of the house.

One of the deceased man was identified as the landlady's brother while the identity of the other man has yet to be ascertained.

Police said that Farooq, a resident of Gujar Khan, said that his sister's house had been closed for some time and they were out of the city to attend a relative’s wedding. “When we returned home after attending the wedding and opened the room to clean it, we found two bodies lying. One of them was my brother Javed,” he added.

After receiving information about the incident, DSP Gujar Khan Tahir Kazmi along with forensic experts rushed to the crime scene and collected evidence.

According to the preliminary investigation, a gas heater was also burning in the room, said the police, adding that most probably they died of suffocation. The bodies have been shifted to a hospital for an autopsy. The police are looking into the case from different angles.

In a separate incident, a man was arrested for hanging his mentally ill wife to death in the limits of Saddar Barooni police station.

Police shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem and registered a case against him.

Sub-Inspector Waqar Haider said that the police station in-charge was on duty at Saddar Barooni police station when Jan Muhammad came and informed them that he has killed his wife named Niyaz Bibi. He added that she was mentally unstable and he was tired of dealing with her so he killed her.

The police reached his house in Gulshan-e-Iqbal so Muhammad took them to in his house and the room where his wife was lying dead. A black dupatta was wrapped around her neck, said the police.

Unidentified men shot and killed a man named Muhammad Omar in Muslim Town in the limits of ​​Sadiqabad police station on Thursday.

According to the police, the killing took place when Omar was on his way home. The culprits fled the scene after committing the crime. Police reached the spot and collected evidence.

Police said that the body of slain Omar has been handed over to his heirs after completing legal formalities. A case of murder has been registered against unknown men.

On the same day, police arrested five men for possessing arms and recovered illegal weapons and ammunition from their possession.

A police spokesman said that Rata Amral police recovered one pistol 30 bore from Zubair Iqbal. They also arrested Muhammad Tanveer and recovered dagger from his possession.

Similarly, Waris Khan police recovered one pistol and 30 bore from Muhammad Hasnain. Naseerabad police recovered one pistol 30 and bore from Osama Ishtiaq.
