A case has been against the killing of a private company's employee and the injuring of two security guards when gunmen opened fire while trying to rob a cash van near Korangi's Godam Chowrangi.

Three suspects involved in the incident were clad in Special Security Unit (SSU) uniforms. On Monday morning, armed criminals, driving a white sedan, opened fire at Godam Chowrangi on National Refinery Road within the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station.

As a result, Ashok, son of Chaman, a rider of the private company was killed, while two security guards, Mehboob and Wazir, were seriously injured. The Korangi Industrial Area Police registered a case.

According to the text of the FIR, Rs7 million in cash were being shifted from the company's office in Mehran Town to a bank located at Godam Chowrangi near the gate of National Refinery.

The suspects blocked the cash van, forcing it to come to a halt. Three gunmen, clad in SSU police outfits got off the car, while another two kept sitting in the vehicle. When the armed suspects drew their weapons, the two security guards sitting inside the van also got off the vehicle and an exchange of fire ensued.
