Security guard kills alleged robber

An alleged dacoit was shot dead by a security guard in the Site Super Highway area. According to details, armed men entered a restaurant in Ahsanabad and tried to loot cash and valuables at gunpoint. The security guard at the hotel resisted.

The accused tried to snatch guard's weapon, but the guard opened fire, injuring one of the accused while his accomplice managed to escape from the scene. Arrested accused, Qadir was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in critical condition, where he died.

Injured in firing incidents

A 17-year-old boy, identified as Huzaifa, was shot in the leg within the limits of Mominabad police station. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police claimed that the suspects had opened fire for unknown reasons, while as per rescue officials, the incident occurred during a robbery. The police are investigating further.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man Roshan was injured in firing by unidentified assailants near Dhabeji in Bin Qasim Town area. He was rushed to Jinnah Hospital. Zohaib, 24, was injured in a firing incident near Mawach Goth No 2 in Baldia Town. He was rushed to Civil Hospital. According to police, the cause of the shooting was not immediately known.
