After eyeing striker Emmanual Adebayor, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp confirmed that he has also set his sights on Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra. With Chelsea expected to lodge a fresh bid for Tottenham’s Luka Modric, Redknapp has suggested he may be able to build a better team with the money brought in from the sale. He has stressed the sale will not leave the club short. Redknapp has worked with Diarra at Portsmouth for the holding role in midfield. “I like Diarra,” he said. “It’s a possibility. The chairman has been trying to do something there.”
