Former Balochistan provincial minister and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) central leader Mir Asim Kurd Gallo has distanced himself from the murder of three PTI workers in Kachhi district, refuting a PTI leader’s allegations levelled against him.

“I have nothing to do with the murder and the allegations levelled against me by a PTI Balochistan leader are false,” he said.

“The demand for my arrest and filing contempt of court charges against me are baseless as I have already obtained a pre-arrest bail from the Balochistan High Court,” Gello said while addressing a news conference at his residence on Saturday.

Gallo expressed sympathy with the people killed in Kachhi district, saying that those who were killed were my voters and children.

He termed Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind’s allegations “politically-motivated” with an aim to damage his political career and defame his party.

“Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddos Bizenjo is my leader and senior leader of BAP and I will sit with him,” he added.

He accused Rind of is deliberately trying to involve the Balochistan governor, National Assembly deputy speaker, and the Balochistan CM in a baseless case of murder to make them controversial for his own vested interests.

He demanded formation of a Joint Investigation Team on the incident of the murder of three people in Kachhi.
