CDA approves uplift projects worth millions

PC-1 for traffic management solution project on Kashmir Chowk okayed

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority Development Working Party has approved the project concept (PC-1) worth Rs1,385 million for a modern traffic management solution project on Kashmir Chowk, Murree Road.

The CDA also approved the PC-2 worth Rs70 million for conducting survey, development and zone planning.

The 55th meeting of the CDADWP was chaired by CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed.

The meeting also approved the PC-1 worth Rs800 million for the establishment of the geospatial technology wing in the institute. The project will be completed in 36 months. The purpose of the project is to maintain planning and estate management in Islamabad. This technology will also help make CDA's internal departmental facilities more efficient and robust. The CDA will improve self-reliance related to physical planning and land acquisition and infrastructure by implementing the project. P

The meeting also approved the PC-1 worth Rs95 million for enhancing the efficiency of the sewerage system and the purchase of modern equipment.

Similarly, the meeting also approved the PC-1 worth Rs99 million for the construction and installation of entry and exit doors in the Diplomatic Enclave. The project will improve the security of embassies and staff in the red zone. The meeting also approved Rs34 million for the construction of a memorial in remembrance of the paramedical staff who sacrificed their lives in the fight against the coronavirus.

The meeting also approved the PC-1 worth Rs357 million for the up-gradation of city infrastructure.

The meeting also approved the PC-1 worth Rs126,075 million for the construction of high-rise residential apartments (Park Enclave Heights) to secure investment of Pakistanis abroad.
