Sindh govt, others directed to reply to MQM’s petition

KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed the Sindh government and others to submit reply to the MQM's petition against irregularities in recruitments for more than 21,310 posts in the province.

A two-member bench headed by SHC CJ, Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh heard the petition. MQM leader Kunwar Naveed Jamil appeared with his counsel Tariq Mansoor Advocate. The Sindh government's counsel sought time to respond. Meanwhile, reply was submitted by IBA Sukkur.

The court directed the Sindh government and others to submit reply by March 15. The court upheld the restraining order against recruitment on government jobs in Sindh. Petitioner's counsel Tariq Mansoor Advocate had stated that the recruitment process from Sukkur IBA should be stopped. Test method has been challenged from Sukkur IBA. Recruitment is being done in more than 38 departments.
