Magistrate sends Jokhio case to ATC

The motive of the suspects is to create a sense of insecurity and spread fear, says the court

KARACHI:

The Judicial Magistrate in Karachi Malir Court issued a verdict on the challan of the Nazim Jokhio murder case. The court ordered the case to be transferred to a special anti-terrorism court.

The written verdict said that after hearing the arguments of all parties, the court considered that the case should be heard in the special ATC.

The court said that during the trial, it was recorded that there was no animosity between the victim and the suspects. The motive of the suspects was to create a sense of insecurity and spread fear.

The Model Criminal Trial Court also classified the case as terrorism. The MCTC had dismissed the bail plea of the accused on the same grounds. The court directed the investigation officer to approach the administrative judge of ATC. The court also ordered to present the challan of the case and the police file before the administrative judge of ATC.
