ISLAMABAD:

The business community is making useful contribution to the economic development of the country and the government will take all possible measures to facilitate it in promoting trade and exports, said Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change Chairperson Seemee Ezdi.

Talking to businessmen at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Monday, she emphasised that the government was taking initiatives to promote the ease of doing business in order to boost trade activities and the economy.

She appreciated the efforts of business community for establishing a new industrial estate and assured them of the government’s support and cooperation in completing the important project.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives to tackle climate change, Ezdi suggested that the business community should plant maximum trees in the spring season to promote a healthy environment and help meet the goal of ‘Green Pakistan’.

She emphasised the need for reducing air pollution in the capital by encouraging the use of Euro-5 and Euro-6 compliant vehicles.
