QUETTA:

Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo visited the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters on Sunday and paid tribute to the martyrs and soldiers who thwarted recent terrorist attacks in the province.

The officials paid a visit to the Martyrs’ Memorial in the FC Headquarters and for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation in the fight against terrorism. They also eulogised the sacrifices of Balochistan FC for the motherland’s protection.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said, “We stand with our security forces, the enemy cannot harm us in the presence of our brave security forces.”

The commandant of the Balochistan FC briefed the delegation on the February 2 incident, wherein four security personnel, including an officer, were martyred, and nine terrorists were killed.

He told them that the enemy was equipped with latest weapons, but “with the grace of Allah, and the prayers of the nation, we brought the terrorists to their end”.

He also said that the terrorists were in direct contact with their handlers in Afghanistan.

The chief minister and the Senate chairman, along with provincial ministers, lauded FC for successfully carrying out the anti-terrorist operation.
